Assessment criteria

ANMAC use five assessment criteria when assessing suitability for migration to Australia. Applicants must meet all five criteria to be determined suitable for migration.

What if I don't meet all five criteria?

If you do not meet all criteria, you will be determined by ANMAC to be unsuitable for skilled migration as a nurse and/or midwife. We will provide you with an explanation as to why you have been determined unsuitable.

ANMAC cannot provide advice on what you need to do to become suitable for migration. To find out what further education and training you need to become suitable, contact the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and enquire about their registration process.

You can apply to be assessed again two  years from the date stated in your ANMAC-issued determination letter.
