The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) is the independent accrediting authority for nursing and midwifery education under Australia's National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. ANMAC helps to protect the health and safety of the Australian community by establishing high-quality standards of nursing and midwifery education, training and assessment. ANMAC is responsible for facilitating the development of content for accreditation standards in consultation with our stakeholders and representatives from the professions. ANMAC is also responsible for determining whether programs of study for nurses and midwives seeking to practice in Australia meet the required accreditation standards.
ANMAC's Skilled Migration Services is responsible for assessing the skills of nurses and midwives who want to migrate to Australia under the General Skilled Migration program.
